摘要: The reserve base of magnesite in the Slovak Republic is 3,400 million tonnes magnesium raw material. Identified world resources total some 12 billion tonnes, and there are also large magnesium-bearing substitutes such as dolomite, brucite, olivine. Furthermore, compounds can be recovered economically from well lake brines, fromsea water. latter, which contains 0.13% by weight magnesium, a major source this material its compounds. This paper presents summary development mining treating Slovakia history industry. summarizes production capabilities industry potential for survival competition with other producers. prosperity industry’s exploitation domestic raw-material has unfavorable influences on basic components environment, i.e. soil, water, surrounding air biota. These caused emissions above all thermal technologies involved processing raw-material. At present, level significantly reduced installation dust collecting devices.
