摘要: Danish organic dairy production is characterized by a low input of antibiotics for udder treatment and high other mastitis control procedures. A study was conducted in 14 herds with the objectives obtaining comprehensive description clinical cases identifying characteristic patterns these results. Clinical signs, inflammatory reactions microbiological identifications were obtained from 367 occurring over 18 months. Cow characteristics preincident values such as milk yield somatic cell count each cow. Signs previous inflammation present two-thirds cases. Severe local found 21% some indication generalized signs fever reduced appetite 35% Logistic regression analyses performed based on results an initial (exploratory) multiple correspondence analysis. Coliform (6% cases) rarely preceded pathogen isolation or same quarter. usually occurred one quarter only. Escherichia coli infections typically (truly) acute Bacteriologically negative (20% showed strong similarities coliform mastitis. Staphylococcus aureus (18% most frequently late lactation around drying-off. Prior Staph. slight decreases two factors that interacted but both strongly positively related to aureus. had subclinical debut, increasing degrees duration decreased shedding this pathogen. Streptococcus dysgalactiae (9% persistent, virulent manifest periods lower cow resistance. More Str. uberis (23% seemed be present.
