摘要: Abstract For blast- or impact-resistant design of steel structures, it is important to use realistic properties under high strain rate. In particular, the substantial rise in yield stress rate may have effects on dynamic behaviour a structure. The some steels been studied past; mostly reinforcing bars, plates and hot-rolled sections. goal this research remedy lack knowledge cold-formed hollow study, four Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS) manufactured by two different cold-forming methods (direct-forming continuous-forming) examined. RHS specimens were determined performing total 166 compressive tensile Split-Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) tests at rates ranging from 100 1000 s −1 their stresses compared static stresses, characterise strength enhancement such loading rates.
