摘要: Abstract Background Many patients with previously implanted ventricular defibrillators are candidates for an upgrade to a device capable of atrial-ventricular sequential or multisite pacing. The prevalence venous occlusion after placement transvenous defibrillator leads is unknown. purpose this study was determine the central in asymptomatic chronic leads. Methods Thirty consecutive lead underwent bilateral contrast venography cephalic, axillary, subclavian, and brachiocephalic veins as well superior vena cava before elective battery replacement. mean time between implantation 45 ± 21 months. Sixteen had more than 1 same subclavian vein. No patient clinical signs occlusion. Results One (3%) complete vein, 90% vein stenosis, 2 (7%) 75% 89% 11 (37%) 50% 74% 15 (50%) no stenosis. Conclusions low severe stenosis among recipients found suggests that additional who already has feasible high percentage (93%). (Am Heart J 2001;141:813-6.)
