摘要: Background Neuropathic pain is severely debilitating and resistant to pharmacological approaches; therefore, the study of therapies complement its treatment especially relevant. In a case report study, light-emitting diode therapy (LEDT) has shown analgesic activity as well reduced expression pro-inflammatory cytokines in rabbit osteoarthritis model calcaneal tendinitis rats. Although LEDT stimulated morphofunctional recovery after nerve injury rats, effect against neuropathic not been tested. Methods To that purpose, mice under anaesthesia were subjected sciatic crush (SNC) model. On seventh post-operative day, determining dose (energy density joules), (950 nm, 80 mW/cm2, 2.5 J/cm2) was irradiated, daily for period 15 days, on skin over site. Results Compared with SNC group, mechanical hypersensitivity but cold which induced by SNC, decreased spinal cord levels tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) did alter interleukin (IL)-1β IL-10 levels, finally, failed accelerate motor functional morphological regeneration. Conclusion Taken together, these data provide first-hand evidence effectiveness corresponding decrease cytokine both cord, although at small dose, regeneration.
