摘要: The study investigated the performance of laterized concrete exposed to drying-wetting cycles sulphate environments with a view providing empirical data for specification. It adopted accelerated ageing method investigate effect attack on wetting-drying cycle comprising 4 days full immersion and 3 drying at ambient temperature two concentrations (3% 5%) magnesium solution total exposure period 24 weeks. test cubes were first cured by complete in water 28 afterward solution. compressive strength was determined using an ELE 2000kN compression testing machine. Data obtained from experiments analysed percentages, mean, ANOVA regression analysis. results tests carried out showed that conventional had better resistance (in terms strength) than concrete. Conventional cyclically 3% 5% lost 18.91% - 30.34% its strength, after weeks exposure. Whereas, similarly same period; 26.54% 31.79% (at 20% laterite content) 36.67% 51.33% 40% strength. tested specimen decreased significantly between 10% 50%, each ? = 0.05 increasing concentration, content period. concluded performed intermittently sulphate-laden environments.
