摘要: Colony-stimulating factor-1 (CSF-1) regulates mononuclear cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The functions of CSF-1 are well documented in mammals; however, little is known about biology lower vertebrates. This the first report on identification functional characterization a fish molecule expressed highly spleen phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate-stimulated monocytes. Goldfish 199-amino acid protein that possesses required cysteine residues to form important intra-chain inter-chain disulfide bonds allow homodimer interact with its high affinity receptor, CSF-1R. Recombinant goldfish formed bound soluble addition recombinant sorted progenitor cells, monocytes, macrophages induced differentiation monocytes into proliferation monocyte-like cells. these cells was abrogated by an anti-CSF-1R antibody as ability CSF-1R inhibit CSF-1-induced represents novel mechanism for regulation function.
