摘要: The present study was undertaken to examine whether excessive proclination of mandibular incisors results in gingival retraction. In patients with surgically treated prognathism, 29 more than 10 degrees and 33 minimal change incisor inclination during presurgical orthodontic phase were selected. A total 21 19 patients, respectively, could meet for a clinical follow-up examination including Visible Plaque Index, Gingival Bleeding probing pocket depth, length supracrestal connective tissue attachment. Study models intraoral color slides also made. mean postoperative times at this 7.8 (SD 2.5) 8.1 2.8) years, respectively. Clinical crown height measured on the taken before after appliance therapy, 3-year control (check) examination. number teeth recession determined from same intervals; thickness symphysis cephalograms treatment. demonstrated significantly increase developing both therapy period removal inclination. correlation coefficient between width statistically significant. Only changes observed 3 years postoperatively No differences measurements groups bone dehiscences not found.
