摘要: Objectives: To assess the procedural and clinical outcomes from a modified subintimal tracking re-entry (STAR) procedure performed using contrast guidance. Background: Previous data showed that recanalizing chronic total occlusion (CTO) with STAR technique was possible. However, this considered difficult therefore has only been adopted by limited number of experienced operators. Methods: Patients (n = 68) CTO native coronary artery treated single operator were included. Results: The right involved in 79.4%, morphology blunt 77.9%, length longer than 20 mm 67.6%. Angiographic success rate 80.9% 70.6% complete recanalization. Stent implantation 82.3% cases, drug-eluting stents (DES) implanted majority (92.7%). Procedural complications occurred 10.3% cases. There no episodes myocardial infarction during follow-up, 1 case (1.5%) cardiac death. cases definite or probable stent thrombosis, there possible thrombosis. overall in-segment binary restenosis 44.7%, target lesion revascularization (TLR) 25% lesions. TLR lesions DES 29.4% those bare-metal 50%. Conclusion: contrast-guided appears to be feasible relatively safe. is high even DES, second may necessary obtain definitive result. © 2008 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
