摘要: Abstract This work presents a novel approach to the functionalization of graphite nanoparticles. The technique provides mechanism for covalent bonding between filler and matrix, with minimal disruption sp 2 hybridization pristine graphene sheet. Functionalization proceeded by covalently an epoxy monomer surface expanded graphite, via coupling agent, such that concentration was measured as approximately 4 wt.%. impact dispersing this material into resin evaluated respect mechanical properties electrical conductivity graphite–epoxy nanocomposite. At loading low 0.5 wt.%, increased five orders magnitude relative base resin. yield strength 30% Young’s modulus 50%. These results were realized without compromise toughness.
