摘要: Studies have shown that the presence of acute inflammation during recovery is indicative poor outcomes after a traumatic brain injury (TBI); however, role chronic in predicting post-TBI-related symptoms remains poorly understood. The purpose this study was to compare inflammatory biomarkers (tumor necrosis factor [TNF]-α, interleukin [IL]-6, and IL-10) active duty personnel who either sustained or did not sustain TBI. Service members were also assessed for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, quality life through self-reported measures. IL-6 TNF-α concentrations greater TBI group than control group. Of those with TBI, high-PTSD low-PTSD No significant differences found IL-10 IL-6/IL-10 ratios between low high PTSD. Exploratory analysis conducted describe latent structure variables relating emotional physical health (i.e., Short Form 36 subcomponents, etc.) their relationships within cytokines. Four symptom profiles found, third component most PTSD depression inflammation. This indicates comorbidity associated military sample, emphasizing necessity intervention order mitigate risks
