摘要: The filum terminale of the rat was found to contain a large number descending 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT)- and noradrenaline-containing axons as visualized histochemically using fluorescence microscopy air-dried spread preparations. By this technique, central 5-HT-containing nerve fibers become easily accessible for rapid sensitive histochemistry. Both transmitter pharmacology axonal flow dynamics can be studied in preparation where several centimeters 5-HT-axons obtained.
