摘要: Since 1982, we have been able to control involuntary movements associated with deaf-ferentation by means of chronic electrical stimulation the thalamic sensory nucleus through implanted programmable neuropacemakers. 1987, using same system electrodes chronically in VL for treating selected cases tremor due Parkinson''s disease, multiple sclerosis and essential tremor. In our series 60 patients, suppression was achieved almost all cases; however, dysarthria 30% (cases after previous thalamotomy other side or bilateral stimulation), amplitude corrected thus some still observed. The rigidity parkinsonism improved. One case hemiballism perfectly controlled technique. Finaly, 3 disease severe hypokinesia, speech gait disturbances, on-off phenomenon globally improved a pallidum.
