摘要: A molded polymeric resin-filled coupler comprising two low-refractive index plastic subassemblies. One subassembly has an optically finished mixing region, with a channel that V shaped lower portion. The region is covered lid of the same material as subassembly. During assembly, optical fibers are inserted into which then filled high to form high-refractive waveguide core in channel. subassemblies provide cladding around core. Low cost attained by utilizing metal molds produce resulting and without need polish each
