摘要: Lithium ion batteries have reshaped our life with their omnipresence in portable electronics. However, increasing the specific energy of these is reaching its limit and high-profile fire accidents (e.g. cell phones spontaneously combusting) cast doubt applications electric vehicles large-scale storage. Intrinsically safe such as aqueous all-solid-state are being actively studied battery community but also faced several challenges. In this paper, we review recent progress on electrolyte-dictated materials design organic redox potent enablers for solid-state electrolytes/batteries.
