Recent Patterns and Predictors of Antipsychotic Medication Regimens Used To Treat Schizophrenia and Other Psychotic Disorders

摘要: Up-to-date data are needed on the types of treatments used by psychiatrists and reasons for use particular treatments. Using 1997 American Psychiatric Association (APA) Practice Research Network (PRN) Study patients with schizophrenia other psychotic disorders, we identified characteristics antipsychotic medications (APMs) currently being prescribed factors associated regimens. In this study population, newer APMs, including risperidone, olanzapine, clozapine, has increased rapidly now accounts over one-half all APM use.
