The medicinal chemistry of carboranes

摘要: The medicinal chemistry of dicarba-closo-dodecaboranes (otherwise referred to as carboranes) has traditionally centered on their use in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). More recently, work begun exploit the unique chemical and physical properties carboranes for preparation novel inorganic pharmaceuticals biological probes. This review is designed highlight some recent concerning carborane including synthesis testing new BNCT agents. Following this review, an appendix, illustrated summary reactions involving reported literature since 1992.
