摘要: Background/aim The impact of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI) on survival in patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is unclear. We compared their efficacy cirrhotics single HCC ≤2 cm. Patients methods Two hundred forty-four cm treated PEI (108 cases) or RFA (136 were enrolled the study. Eighty-one each group selected for propensity score matching analysis. Results five-year was not significantly different (64.7% 72.9% group) but 5-year recurrence (73.3% 49% group, p=0.023) local tumor progression (49% 30.1% p=0.018) higher group. Conclusion are equally effective treating HCCs smaller than 2 terms survival, despite cumulative rates, PEI.
