摘要: What can be said in the aftermath? Faced with legacies of conflict and gross violation human rights, contemporary discourse transitional justice has defended work confession as a way for deeply divided societies to “come terms” past move forward. Underwritten by complex promise recognition, this call confessional truth-telling proven controversial, not least at it risks undermining testimony victims granting undue status perpetrators. Giving voice events that may prove unspeakable performing subjectivity defy accountability, figure imagined is perhaps best envisioned rhetorical question, difficult inquiry into response-ability language wake violence.
