摘要: Abstract Laboratory toxicity data contrasting mortality and brain cholinesterase inhibition in the goldfish ( Carassius auratus ) are presented. Brain (ChE) was greatly reduced after 96 h of exposure vivo at sublethal concentrations azinphosmethyl parathion. The enzyme dose dependent, higher than 0.1 mg/L caused more 90% inhibition. effect carbaryl less pronounced, achieving an 86% corresponding to 96-h LC 50 . After parathion (0.1 mg/L) (3.0 mg/L), activity ChE reduced. In following recovery, inhibited with restored 75% activity, while organophosphates (OPs) required 35 days for recovery. Goldfish were able withstand high percentages without mortality, suggesting that another target may be responsible lethal effects. However, is a good biomarker acute subacute OPs carbamates.
