摘要: Abstract Residues of three phenazone-type pharmaceuticals have been identified in routine analyses groundwater samples from selected areas the north-western districts Berlin, Germany. Phenazone, propiphenazone, and dimethylaminophenazone detected some wells at concentrations up to low μg/l-level. Additionally, metabolites namely 1-acetyl-1-methyl-2-dimethyl-oxamoyl-2-phenylhydrazide (AMDOPH), 1-acetyl-1-methyl-2-phenylhydrazide, dimethyloxalamide acid-(N′-methyl-N-phenyl)-hydrazide also these samples. The residues are suspected originate former production spills a pharmaceutical plant located city north Berlin. It was observed that with exception AMDOPH all other were efficiently removed during conventional drinking water treatment. drug metabolite deriving found 0.9 μg/l finished water. However, following study on toxicological relevance has shown there is no harm for humans Berlin
