Experimental studies of the oscillator strengths of the 6s6p 1,3P1 → 6snd 1,3D2 Rydberg transitions in barium

摘要: We report new measurements for the oscillator strengths of 6s6p 1P1 → 6snd 1D2 and 3P1 3D2 Rydberg transitions barium using a thermionic diode ion detector in conjunction with Nd:YAG pumped dye laser system. The f-values have been calibrated absolute photoionization cross-section measured at first ionization threshold from excited states employing saturation technique. An excellent agreement is found earlier reported work. data on strength are time. densities continuum corresponding to state also determined smooth merging discrete into observed across threshold.
