摘要: Adjuvant X-ray therapy after surgery for breast cancer is at present unfashionable, partly because of the glamour adjuvant chemotherapy, but more stated lack any beneficial effect radiotherapy on survival and even an alleged harmful effect, said to be caused by immunosuppression. This opinion was first put forward Bond [5] study retrospective Birmingham registration data, groups compared were not randomly selected some those may well have been allocated adverse prognostic features. The Manchester trials [11] are frequently quoted widely misinterpreted — they immediate with delayed rather than no all. After numbers other trials, Stjernsward [17] advocated these views strongly, analysing main large then published (in none which there significant differences in survival), including from Copenhagen, Edinburgh, United States, added them up, suggesting that could obtained combining insignificant quite different trials.
