摘要: We have compared the echolocation and feeding behaviours of Myotis lucifugus, M. californicus, volans, auriculus based on observations recordings bats in field. lucifugus californicus appeared to detect prey at close range (≤ 1 m) regularly made several attempts capture insects over short distances; both used similar frequency-modulated calls. volans detected greater distances (5–10 m), only one attempt per pass through a area, an call with distinct constant-frequency component. fed mainly resting insects, mostly moths.
