摘要: Abstract The giant panda is an iconic forest-dwelling conservation species worldwide. Preservation of forests considered essential to keep their populations sustainable in the wild. However, little effort has been made uncover effects selective logging on abundance and habitat selection. In this research, we conducted a field survey during May–November 2012 Liziping National Nature Reserve, China, compare trace microhabitat selection by pandas primary secondary forests. Our results indicated that forest structure varied significantly selectively logged forests, especially for tree bamboo layers. Slope bamboos are significant variables affecting utilization two types. Significant difference was found rations elevations, total trees, shrubs, dead basal diameter biennial between indicating had effect study area. addition, abundance, as indexed droppings dropping groups per km, decreased Selective can not only affect inner habitats, but also spatial distribution behaviors. flexibility help them adapt surrounding conditions. future, attention should be paid types captive released pandas, gentle areas habitats when patrolling monitoring.
