摘要: We determined the anti-inflammatory activity of standardized extracts four medicinal plant species (Baccharis incarum, B. boliviensis, Chuquiraga atacamensis, Parastrephia lucida) that grow in Argentine Puna (3800 m above sea level) and are used to reduce oxidative stress alleviate gout arthritic pain. The aerial parts were terms total phenolic compounds flavone/flavanone content free radical scavenging activity. All showed high compound concentration (0.5-1.6 mg/mL), mainly flavones flavonols (0.1-0.8 mg/mL). hydrogen donating ability (DPPH ABTS) reactive oxygen (O2●-, OH-, H2O2). inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 COX-2) was by calculating percent inhibition PGE2 production measured enzyme immunoassay. inhibited both with IC50 values 2.0 16.7 µg/mL. incarum C. atacamensis higher than boliviensis P. lucida. obtained for indomethacin 0.11 0.78 µM COX-1 COX-2, respectively. present results consistent anecdotal use these phytotherapic preparations.
