摘要: BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS: The use of a transcolonic approach for natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) offers relevant advantages compared with transgastric procedure. However both techniques are still limited by specific shortcomings that need to be resolved before the can translated human applications. In this article we describe an innovative method procedure, which might represent next step forward in NOTES. PATIENTS METHODS: three acute and five survival porcine models evaluated specially designed guide tube, is inserted via into abdominal cavity after intraperitoneal instillation decontamination solution. After evaluation abdomen closure entry site was performed surgically. Main parameters obtained study were feasibility safety approach, bacterial contamination due safe site. Animals model euthanized 10 days RESULTS: took place without complications. There no bleeding or laceration adjacent organs. surgical guaranteed leak-proof All pigs showed excellent postinterventional course. At necropsy, colonic incision sites completely closed appeared well healed. No abscesses any sign inflammation could identified. CONCLUSIONS: using tube feasible safe. technique described mentionable therefore reduces known However, further studies needed approve our results initial evaluation.
