摘要: Summary Purpose This study aimed to determine the cutoff point at Voice Handicap Index (VHI) as a diagnostic tool in process of voice disorder assessment. It further surveyed correlation between diagnosis made by speech specialist and corresponding opinion reported client on existence/nonexistence any disorder. Method A sample 160 individuals who completed VHI questionnaire were assigned clinical nonclinical groups. They asked about opinions their voices Likert scale. Results was found specialists' clients' own (r = 0.882); however, this reduced (r = 0.717) when mild existed among group. The point, which sensitivity (for screening subjects with without normal voices) reached its maximal value (92%) highest level specificity (95%), observed be 14.5. Conclusion Occasional incompatibility diagnoses that disorders within should considered significant. Also, score 14.5 can accepted (Persian version) assessment process.
