摘要: Fasciolosis caused by Fasciola hepatica and F.gigantica is one of the major public health problems in world Iran. Considering that stool examination for eggs not a sensitive method only 25% infected patients pass faeces , immunodiagnosis methods are more applicable this purpose, present study was conducted to compare somatic (S) cysteine proteinase (CP) antigens of F.gigantica IgG-ELISA diagnose human fasciolosis. This has been first report on case so far Serum samples obtained from 178 individuals collected during fasciolosis outbreak 1999 Gilan province, northern Iran, were coprologically positive fasciolosis, were analyzed total antibody responses against CP gigantica. The cut-off points CP were 0.38 0.33, respectively. All cases showed clinical manifestations fasciolosis, also seropositive using both antigens whereas all 25 non-infected controls seronegative. Therefore, sensitivity test 100% antigens. On other hand the specificity calculated as 96.4% 98.1%, negative predictive values regarding (S) antigen 97.8% 100%, whereas these 98.9% correspondingly. Two individuals with hydatidosis and two toxocariasis had antibodies concerning antigen, individual hydatidosis another with toxocariasis cross reactivity it. We have demonstrated altogether provide conclusive diagnosis possessing lower enabling better discriminate between seronegative subpopulations. This may be useful implement a reliable seroepidmiological objectives.
