摘要: This study investigated differential attraction of estrous brown lemmings (Lemmus trimucronatus) to conspecific males recently exposed each other for a 10-min agonistic encounter. In tests conducted 5 min, 1 h and 24 after encounters, females preferred the oder dominant that defeated when both odors were presented simultaneously in Y-maze olfactometer. Defeat an encounter did not reduce propensity male initiate sexual behavior. one-male, one-female min achieved higher mount thrust scores while obtained attempted mounts. The behavior differ significantly similar later. contrast, readily mated with tended avoid two-male tethering encounters. these tests, still showed preference
