摘要: This study was designed to evaluate the association between aminolevulinate dehydrogenase (ALAD) genotype and blood lead levels in a general population environmentally exposed lead. of 660 subjects secondarily sampled from 3000 random samples Taiwanese distribution population. A simple assay based on polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism technique used determine ALAD gene. found that most 1-1 (95.4%). Only 4.6% (30 subjects) were be 1-2 or 2-2. It has been hypothesized ALAD2 allele is associated with increased absorption individuals alleles had 20% higher than persons ALAD1 (7.83 +/- 5.95 vs 6.51 5.03 micrograms/dL). However, difference not statistically significant, even after adjustment for other risk factors environmental exposure. The result supports previous finding levels. small sample size large amount variation our may account insignificant association.
