Information literacy and information seeking of public sector managers in the Welsh Government

摘要: This paper presents an empirical investigation of information seeking and literacy public sector managers in the Welsh Government. A series 23 two-stage interviews were conducted with from a range grades departments to determine levels awareness use Knowledge Analytical Services (KAS) evaluate managers. Findings indicated that engage professionals within KAS when embarking on major project such as developing new legislation or policy. However, there was general unfamiliarity full activities staff more likely seek themselves conducting preliminary research for small scale needs skills limited. Our findings suggest could be improved Government if services closely aligned operational teams.
