摘要: BACKGROUND: Despite the availability of several methods (invasive and noninvasive) for diagnosis Helicobacter pylori infection, no test is considered to be ‘gold standard’. Endoscopy-based tests are regarded as reference method in most studies.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate diagnostic performance imprint cytology smears antral biopsies compared with Gram-stained smears, rapid urease culture methods, separately combination.METHODS: Antral were obtained from consecutive patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy at a single centre. The examined presence H by smear, test, smear.RESULTS: A total 273 studied. All positive 36% patients. Of 252 tested, 73% using technique. Using individually, sensitivity specificity detection found 92.7% 50%; 49%; 92.4% 38.5%, respectively. Combining three microbiological resulted 92.1%, 51.0% an efficiency 71.7% smears.CONCLUSIONS: Endoscopic examination provides useful clinical information. Imprint gastric can used establish infection time performed, enabling endoscopist start treatment immediate effect.
