摘要: Objective: The aim of this study was to describe our experience with percutaneous ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation kidney tumors. Methods: From July 2002 August 2005, 45 ablations (RFA) in 42 selected patients tumor were performed. had either contraindications surgery procedures or a solitary kidney. average size 37.5 mm (range, 18–59 mm) the mean age 68 years 28–83 years). RFA performed based on radiographic findings. Needle biopsy made only twice. Monopolar Cool-tip Tyco bipolar Celon Olympus devices used. procedure under conscious sedation local anesthesia. Treatment efficacy assessed by computed tomography and Doppler ultrasound. absence contrast enhancement considered be successful treatment. Results: follow up 14 months 3–36 months). In tumors (93%), total obtained after initial three (7%) second session. There no complications following 41 procedures, including all small (<35 mm) renal masses. four minor observed. All are alive. has been need for chronic hemodialysis and, until now, we have not observed any recurrences exception one metastasis an ipsilateral adrenal gland. Conclusions: is promising alternative treatment which could who suitable surgery.
