摘要: Considering the global health threat posed by kidney disease burden, a search for new nephroprotective drugs from our local flora could prove powerful strategy to respond this threat. In study we investigated antihyperuricemic and potential of RA-3, plant-derived lanosteryl triterpene. The effect RA-3 was using adenine gentamicin induced hyperuricemic nephrotoxicity rat model. Following induction hyperuricemia nephrotoxicity, experimental model rats (Sprague Dawley) were orally administered with at 50 100 mg/kg body weight, respectively, daily 14 days. Treatment especially mg/kg, effectively lowered serum renal dysfunction (blood urea nitrogen creatinine) (uric acid xanthine oxidase) biomarkers. These accompanied increased antioxidant status decrease in malondialdehyde content. A much improved histomorphological structure tissues also observed triterpene treated groups when compared control group. It is evident that possesses properties, which be vital prevention amelioration disease.
