摘要: In this paper an expression is proposed for the estimation of thermodiffusion factor in liquid metal alloys. The can be readily used given that it requires properties could easily obtained from physical mixture constituents, such as viscosity and molar volume. predictive power expression, well other pertinent models examined against experimental data. estimated then to study thermo-solutal convection enclosure filled with molten Sn–Bi alloy by solving transport equations numerically. Numerical results show case, distribution temperature concentration are linear, but species segregation occurs due effect. boundary-driven convective flow develops large Rayleigh number (Ra) where increase Ra negates effect development strong mixing.
