Testing of the recently developed tectonomagmatic discrimination diagrams from hydrothermally altered igneous rocks of 7 geothermal fields

摘要: Recently developed multidimensional tectonomagmatic discrimination diagrams based on log-ratio variables of chemical elements, discordant outlier-free databases, and probability-based boundaries have been shown to work better than the earlier diagrams. Hydrothermally altered drilled well rock cuttings obtained from different depths geothermal fields were used test these compare inferred tectonic setting with expected one. In spite hydrothermal alteration effects, provided following settings: (1) an arc for Ahuachapan Berlin fields, El Salvador; (2) a rift Cerro Prieto field, Mexico, Tendaho Afar region; (3) MORB Reykjanes Iceland; (4) transitional collision Roman volcanic provenance, Italy; (5) Tongonan Philippines. The present study indicates that recently multielement discriminant function may be successfully applied infer original hydrothermally samples thus confirms robustness
