摘要: Aim Ferritin is an iron-storage protein with plasma levels used as indicator of iron deficiency. We undertook parallel testing ferritin in serum and to measure the range variation we present data for specimens from a panel otherwise healthy volunteers. Methods utilised commercially-available ELISA quantification samples. In second experiment, were measured over post-collection time course; day collection, one seven days post-collection. For measurements determined before after centrifugation. Results volunteers who had normal/high (females: 15–200 ng/mL; males: 30–300 ng/mL), on average value was 51%, (range 36–69%) level. The largest low (10 ng/mL) 2.3 times greater. trend individuals studied consistent course. Discussion this study, discrepancy between rarely widely-quoted 10% minimum care should be taken when establishing normal ranges testing.
