摘要: Dongting Lake, the second largest freshwater lake in China, is well known for its rapid seasonal fluctuations inundation extents middle reach of Yangtze River, and it also most affected by Three Gorges Project. Significant inter-annual variations flood inundations were observed from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) time-series imagery between 2000 2012 Lake. Results demonstrated that temporal changes derived MODIS data accordant with annual monthly precipitation runoff data. Spatial dynamics some related parameters regime analyzed as well, which included probability, duration start/end date flood. Large areas high probability identified 2002, but relatively small regions great occurred 2001, 2006, 2011. Long durations 2000, 2008, 2010, 2012, whereas short Correlation analysis techniques applied to explore spatial-temporal relationships associated wetland landscape patterns 2012. In addition, this paper presented comprehensive discussions on development their influences pattern after impoundment Reservoir, period, role flooding evolution vegetation succession. These results can provide scientific guidance baseline management long-term monitoring ecological environment
