摘要: The formation of thin reactive films in sliding contacts under elevated temperature provides enhanced tribological properties since the Magneli phases leads to ability self-lubricating behavior. This phenomenon was studied for vanadium-doped coating systems which were produced using CVD and PVD technology. Vanadium-containing arc sprayed coatings not widely examined so far. aim this study characterize Fe-V deposited by Twin Wire Arc Spraying process with respect their oxidation behavior at temperatures correlate oxides properties. Dry experiments performed range between 25 750 °C. possesses a reduced coefficient friction wear (k) 650 750 °C, significant lower when compared conventional Fe-based coatings. evolution oxide identified situ x-ray diffraction investigated range. Further (pre-oxidized) coatings, as verified differential thermal analysis thermo-gravimetric analysis, starts about 500 °C.
