摘要: A simple precipitin test (CAP) using cellulose acetate membrane has been devised and evaluated against the gel diffusion (GDP) test. In 251 sera tested by both methods, CAP was never negative when GDP positive (110 sera). 34 were but CAP; in all of these patients either had a past history amoebiasis or considered to have active amoebiasis. The is technically very simple, result available within four half hours, membranes can be impregnated with antigen stored for several months. slightly more sensitive than remains longer after patient cured; it seems equally specific.
