摘要: Novel, nanostructured lyotropic liquid crystal polymer membranes were fabricated, characterized and tested for their performance in separations involving CO2, N2, O2, CH4 H2. Freestanding, cross-linked films with without an ordered hexagonal nanostructure, but the same chemical composition, exhibit different gas solubility, diffusion permeability properties. The presence of nanostructure was observed to slow all gases, increase solubility permselectivity CO2-based separations. In systems CO2 5.2 Barrers CO2/N2 separation selectivity 27. For lacking rose slightly 6.9 Barrers, dropped 21. A similar trend also CO2/CH4 separation. In gases other than no differences between two membranes. model explaining these trends is presented.
