摘要: Abstract Wetlands have many environmental, social, and economic values. However, due to accelerated land use change lack of understanding the functions wetland ecosystems, they deteriorated, if not been lost in areas worldwide. Meanwhile, current functional assessment techniques only provide rough estimations, are most cases site specific qualitative. The overall goal this project is examine sediment reduction benefit implementation scenarios both at subbasin watershed scales. Two sets models were used accomplish goal. First, a model – Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), was employed estimate load scale. limitations SWAT, second System for Urban Stormwater Treatment Analysis Integration (SUSTAIN) used. generated each incorporated SUSTAIN model. This allows evaluating capability wetlands level. Next, portion treated by fed back SWAT routed outlet. impacts four different surface (0.40, 0.81, 2, 4 ha) on mitigation examined one-at-a-time all subbasins within River Raisin located southeastern Michigan northeastern Ohio. Comparison reductions restoration reveals importance placement watershed. In general, rate streamflow resulting from higher than level but more comparable addition, clusters installed distance 150–200 stream km outlet outperformed other clustered closer farther distances. associated with 1st order streams performed better level, while 4th Considering environmental issues revealed that 0.4 ha suitable its efficiency significantly lower cost installation maintenance.
