摘要: Summary Villous trophoblast from first trimester and term placenta expresses the integrin subunits α6 β4, as monitored by immunohistochemistry. The subunits, which codistribute in all locations, are present at basal cell surface where cyto- syncytiotrophoblast make contact with villous basement membrane and, addition, areas of between cytotrophoblast or syncytiotrophoblast, but both absent apical syncytial surface. This distribution, together other evidence suggests that two associated heterodimer α6β4, differs epithelia α6β4 is predominantly basally disposed. Anti-cytokeratin antibodies were used to identify columns tips anchoring villi migratory interstitial extravillous population placental bed. Cells showed a level expression diminished distance membrane, β4 not detected cytotrophoblast. In chorion laeve, expressed layers pseudobasement edge parietal decidua, decidua itself. Integrin distribution was also examined primary cultures choriocarcinoma line BeWo. near areas, components including laminin detected. results suggest plays role its loss may play enabling cells migrate into maternal tissue compartment.
