摘要: Drosophila larval hematopoietic organs produce circulating hemocytes that ensure the cellular host defense by recognizing and neutralizing non-self or noxious objects through phagocytosis encapsulation melanization. Hematopoietic lineage specification as well blood cell proliferation differentiation are tightly controlled. Mutations in genes regulate lymph gland hemocyte numbers body cavity cause organ overgrowth overproliferation. Occasionally, mutant invade self-tissues, behaving like neoplastic malignant cells. Two alleles of Polycomb group (PcG) gene multi sex combs (mxc) were previously isolated such lethal neoplasm mutations. PcG Hox expression vertebrates invertebrates participate mammalian hematopoiesis control. Hence we investigated need for mxc hemocytes. We show mxc-induced hyperplasia is autonomous mainly controls plasmatocyte glands Loss Toll pathway, which plays a similar role hematopoiesis, counteracted but not differentiation. Several tested trans had no effects on phenotypes, whereas trithorax brahma important normal propose provides one regulatory inputs control rates crystal timing
