摘要: A survey to identify the major intestinal species of aerobic bacteria, protozoa and helminths was conducted on captive wild populations ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta). Samples were collected from 50 at 11 zoological institutions in United States. In Madagascar, 98 bacteria samples 99 parasite eight sites chosen cover a variety across range. Identical collection, preservation lab techniques used for populations. The predominant types flora identified via five separate tests. tests parasites included flotation, sedimentation FA/GC. Twenty-seven unique either or cultured with these being statistically significantly different. Fourteen common both cultured, which six differed significantly. Entamoeba coli only Giardia spp., Isospora strongyles-type ova, spp. polecki found samples. Cryptosporidium, Balantidium coli, pinworm-type two fluke-like ova seen addition, compared three field Madagascar. this three-site comparison, No significant differences regarding seen. Significant between populations, whereas fewer within Although we isolated Campylobacter Giardia, all animals appeared clinically healthy.
