摘要: Endogenous Opioid Peptides (EOPs) are a class of neuropeptides which were initially recognized as analgesic agents with actions similar to morphine. Ever since their discovery in mid-seventies, they have aroused special interest not only because key roles different domains physiology, but belied all norms and fundamentals our knowledge hormones action. They compelled endocrinologists rethink on the manner view hormones. First, EOPs do specific site production second, lack target organ well. ubiquitously produced body varied kinds at multiple sites. These observations paved way for deeper insight research into nature mode action other classical The opioids may well hallmark new concept understanding physiological mechanisms.
