摘要: Several bone grafting materials have been used in sinus augmentation procedures. Bio-Oss (deproteinized and sterilized bovine bone) has shown to osteoconductive properties no inflammatory or adverse responses published. In spite of these successful results, histologic data regarding using humans is scarce. The purpose this study was analyse the amount ossification a case maxillary augmentation, recording comparing histomorphometric 8 months, 2 10 years after surgery. This long-term evaluation retrieved specimens performed, histomorfometric measures at different times. Eight months surgery we observed 20 thin sections specimen mean tissue (including medullar spaces) 29.8% (and 70.2% Bio-Oss) +/- 2.6. At increased 69.7% + 2.7 it 86.7% 2.8. comparison means for each time highly significant increasing trend formation associated with Bio-oss resorption: years.
