摘要: The Mendocino triple junction area of northern California is underlain by the Coastal belt Franciscan complex, flanked on east Central and Eastern belts Complex. coastal further divided into three tectonostratigraphic terranes. Upper Cretaceous through middle Miocene rocks included in these terranes were accreted to North American plate margin partly during normal convergence with Farallon between 49 25 Ma at poleward rates 2 5cm /yr, translation Pacific 14 3 6cm/yr. evolution discussed. -from Authors
