摘要: Actin, a major cytoskeletal protein, drives most aspects of cell motility, shape, membrane dynamics, and the interactions with its surroundings. The globular monomeric actin, called G-actin, assembles into filaments (F-actin), which are polar right-handed double-stranded helices. Many cellular actin functions achieved by dynamic assembly disassembly F-actin, regulated multitude actin-binding proteins (ABPs). Actin-capping -severing special classes ABPs. stop filament growth and/or depolymerization at end to they bind. F-Actin-severing associate internal subunits enhance fragmentation or near their binding site. Severing can providing more ends from subunit dissociation occurs but also provide nuclei assembly.
